We have a video message from our Chief Executive Richard Norrington to say a big thank you to everyone who voted for us as Best Building Society 2022 (and Highly Commended for Best Specialist Mortgage Provider!) at the British Bank Awards – as well as an update on our plans for the future.

I’m really glad to be speaking to you, our Suffolk Building Society members about some exciting news we’ve received.
At the beginning of May we won a major accolade at the British Banking Awards.
We won Best Building Society for 2022 and highly commended in the Best Specialist Mortgage Provider category.
The reason this news is so exciting is because it’s voted for by you, our members. Thank you for your incredible support,your votes, and your honest reviews.
Each review tells a story about an interaction you’ve had with us,
be that savings or mortgages, however you have chosen to connect with the Society and our branches across Suffolk, by phone or by email.
We’re really humbled by the outstanding reviews people leave with us every day on the Smart Money People platform, which is how the awards were judged.
Of course, we want to improve further still, and your ongoing reviews and feedback help us to do just that.
You’ve said that the Society’s quality of customer service is really important to you, and as a result, the win at the British Banking Awards is even more rewarding for us.
The Best Building Society Award comes at a really exciting time and it is also an exciting time to be on this journey with us, as a member of the Society.
We’ve recently changed our name, of course, to Suffolk Building Society which is a more inclusive name representing our members all around the county.
And we’re hard at work developing an e-savings platform, which I look forward to updating you on in the coming months.
We’re also looking at ways to make sure our branches remain a great place for you to pop in and see us, whether you choose to save online or not.
And as members, you’ve told us what really matters to you, your local community in Suffolk.
