Paul Winter, CEO of Ipswich Building Society, receives an East Anglian Daily Times Business Award for Outstanding Achievement
Paul Winter, CEO of Ipswich Building Society, has been presented with the Anglian Business Award for Outstanding Achievement by Richard Lister, Provost and Chief Executive of University Campus Suffolk. This was announced on Thursday 7th July at the East Anglian Daily Times Business Awards ceremony in Trinity Park, Ipswich.
The Outstanding Achievement award aims to recognise an individual or organisation that has made an outstanding contribution to the economy at local or regional level.
The judges take into account factors including enterprise, innovation, job creation and the impact the efforts of the individual or organisation has had on the business sector, the local and regional economy and the wider community.
This award was made at the discretion of the judges and was not open to direct entries.
Commenting on the announcement Paul Winter said, “It means a lot to me to have been recognised by the judges and to receive this award.
I’m lucky to work with a dedicated team at Ipswich Building Society who really gets behind our community initiatives – from our financial education programmes, volunteering for local organisations, fundraising, to supporting the career skills and development of young people both at schools and those completing apprenticeships with us. By going above and beyond their roles and responsibilities, they have helped to position the Society at the heart of the community in Suffolk.
I strongly believe every business should act responsibly, contributing to their communities and supporting the local economy.”
