We’re pleased to announce the launch of our business and charity savings accounts. Designed to give local business and charity leaders and treasurers a secure home for their funds, you can also speak with a real person from your local team. So, you won’t be stuck talking to a chatbot.

Why save with a local building society?

There are lots of reasons to choose a building society for your business savings:

  • We’ve been helping people in Suffolk to save for their futures for over 175 years.
  • If you save with us, you can speak to a real person from your local team.
  • We don’t have shareholders who need to see a return – we’re owned by our members, who are our savers and mortgage holders.
  • We focus only on savings and mortgages, not stock market investments.

Why should I segregate my funds?

Our business and charity savings accounts offer a secure home for surplus cash, allowing you to segregate funds and manage your finances more effectively.

Keeping cash separate from operational funds can make financial reporting clearer, simplify audits, and support stronger governance.

By moving your surplus cash into a savings account, your company can earn interest on excess funds, improve cash flow management, and build extra capital for future opportunities.

Our range of business and charity savings accounts

Our Business 1 Year Fixed Rate Bond and Business 90 Day Notice Account are great choices if you’re saving for future growth and want to earn a return. Or, if you prefer easy access to your funds, our Everyday Business Saver gives you the flexibility to act quickly when new opportunities arise.

If you’re a solicitor, we also offer an undesignated client account to help you manage your clients’ money.

Supporting local registered charities is in our DNA, so we offer a friendly welcome to local charities looking for a home for their savings. Our 35 Day Notice Charity Saver is reserved exclusively for registered charities. Charities can also open other business savings accounts in our range.

No matter which option you choose, our business savings accounts make it simple to grow your funds with confidence – helping your business plan ahead and make the most of its money.
