We have a unique and varied range of events coming up in Suffolk over the summer, for all ages and exclusively available to our members. So whether you’re a regular – or you’ve never been to a member event before – we’d love you to come and join us!

Sutton Hoo
Enjoy a guided tour around the Mound One burial site. Explore the Exhibition Hall to discover the history of Sutton Hoo. You can then visit the 1930s Tranmer House or enjoy a peaceful countryside walk amongst the 250 acres which boasts beautiful views of the River Deben.

Suffolk Wildlife Trust children’s event
A fun filled children’s event in Christchurch park with a two hour session of nature activities, provided by the Suffolk Wildlife Trust. Suitable for children aged between 5-14 years. Bring your own refreshments, or why not make a day of it and bring a picnic?

New Wolsey Theatre – Once (dress rehearsal)
The New Wolsey Theatre and Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch co-present ‘Once’ – the unforgettable story of a Dublin street musician and a funny Czech woman, drawn together by their shared love of music. Note – this event is to see the dress rehearsal.

East Anglia Transport Museum
Visit the East Anglian Transport Museum in Carlton Colville, the only working museum in the British Isles. Experience a tour of the museum before enjoying a ride on trams, trolleybuses and a light railway. Coach travel available if needed.

Bury St Edmunds – Guided walk
Enjoy a guided walking tour of the historical town of Bury St Edmunds. Beginning at Angel Hill, members will be introduced to the history and development of the historic market town on this walking tour before enjoying refreshments at the Athenaeum.
