Our membership programme is all about bringing our members together to engage with the delightful businesses and attractions which operate across Suffolk through events, exclusive retailer discounts and partnerships.

The health and safety of our members, staff and suppliers is the our top priority. Therefore, in March due to the coronavirus pandemic we took the decision to suspend the events programme until further notice in line with government advice. This has also meant that the current New Wolsey Theatre and Fred Olsen Travel member discounts have also been temporarily withdrawn.

2020 so far

The first three months of the year welcomed the return of popular visits to the Suffolk Incinerator and Ipswich Town Hall. Members experienced new events in the schedule such as a tour and tasting at English Spirit Distillery, developing their artistic writing skills at a calligraphy workshop and touring the factory of the popular Suffolk-based snack producer Munchy Seeds.

We take pride in our exclusive event offerings and community engagement so look forward to getting back to business and delivering a fantastic membership programme for you all to enjoy.

Our AGM

Our AGM, has been our most popular member event to date attracting previous guest speakers such as Tracey McLeod, Adan Henson and many more previous. This year we were unable to welcome Barry Chevallier Guild to Trinity Park due to the current circumstances we face ourselves in, however we thank you for your understanding as to why the AGM had to be held behind closed doors.

That being said, we are delighted that 92.8% of voting members approved our name change to become known as Suffolk Building Society and look forward to implementing the changes early next year. A big part of that will also be enhancing our membership programme to be more inclusive of our wide demographic of members and to showcase the amazing attractions, businesses and communities of our county.
