To celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III on Saturday 6 May 2023, we launched a colouring and design competition. Children aged 4 to 7 could colour in a crown, and 8 to 11-year-olds could design a flag to commemorate the occasion.

In total we are pleased to announce we had a staggering 171 entries! Local schools including Britannia Primary School and Ravenswood Community Primary School got involved, as well as many of our younger members via the branch network. We also received entries directly in response to our email communications to members.

Choosing a winner for each category was not an easy task as they were all so colourful and designed beautifully. Nathan Wade, Head of Membership, judged all entries and is delighted to announce the winners as follows:

Colour in a Crown (Ages 4-7 years)

Lily, age 4

Design a Flag (Ages 8-11 years)

Zarita, age 10

We loved both of these designs and thought they showed so much creativity and talent. Lily and Zarita have each won tickets to Jimmy’s Farm to enjoy a fun day out with their families.

A huge thank you to all members who got involved in the competition. We thoroughly enjoyed judging them all.
